Step 1: The "lab"
The Ugoki project is first of all based on observations drawn from my 20 years of experience, as a manager and HR specialist:
-
It is often difficult for leaders to concretely and sustainably apply the lessons learned from leadership, soft skills, management and HR training provided in companies, for multiple reasons.
-
These same training courses often target only part of a problem and cannot on their own bring about the profound changes expected
-
Speedy life pace leaves little room for introspection, reflection and experimentation, which are essential to any process of transformation and evolution.
-
Individuals are not necessarily aware of what they should be doing to change and to be better leaders. The tools available (performance evaluations, 360°, feedback, personality tests, etc.) often only provide a restrictive and sometimes even very subjective vision, especially if they are not properly debriefed and integrated into the person's follow-up pathway.
-
Step 2: My path
With a background in Management and Human Resources, I have built my career in the HR world, mainly in contexts of rapid growth (#retail), ultra-demanding (Japanese #culture), and at a global scale.
This 20-year experience, during which I recruited, trained, developed and worked with extremely diverse people, was a laboratory to feed my curiosity and my thirst for learning and experimenting.
Sharing, making people grow, inspiring are my driving forces. I wanted to deep dive in the field of people developement by training as a professional coach, then in co-development, and horse facilitated coaching specialist.
My life path led me to decide to leave the company to invent my own playground, through entrepreneurship, always driven by my desire to actively contribute to the evolution of the world of work towards more meaning, humanity and modernity.
Step 3: Birth of UGOKI
I imagined what UGOKI could be.
My intention was to respond to the development challenges observed over my experience, by offering something different, effective, and sustainable.
I took my inspiration from universes that I have experienced myself, and/or others experienced,
and that have had a positive impact on our lives.
Elements that may seem heterogeneous at first glance, but which, combined with each other,
constitute a coherent and powerful whole.
UGOKI is built like a Tangram, this puzzle made up of 7 pieces that can be assembled
between them to form shape various shapes.

Expérience
The lessons learned from my 20 years of experience as a manager and HR professional, in creative and retail environments, at a global stage. An experience whose common thread has been woven around HR development, construction (of organizations, teams, tools, processes, etc.), a strong taste for field work (learning and educating by doing), relational weaving (direct, transversal, multicultural management), agility (evolution in contexts of transformation, matrix organizations, result driven cultures)

Japanese Culture and Philosophy
My professional life has led me to navigate through Japanese culture, having worked for more than 12 years for Uniqlo, one of the world's leading fashion companies. It was a life-changing experience, where I discovered what a strong corporate culture was, solidly rooted around its Japanese heritage, a common mission, values and project, shared by a team working on a global scale. A culture marked by high standards, humility, excellence and resilience, where the collective and the common good are at the heart of actions.

Synergies
The combination of complementary approaches: professional coaching, mentoring, training, co-development, consulting. A humanistic approach to developing people (= person-centered)

Movement
Through practice and the field approach: starting from the reality of situations, from experimentation, to analyze, learn and progress.
7 pieces linked together by my personality marked with atypism, pragmatism, lucid optimism, seriousness, creativity and pleasure.
By creating UGOKI, I wanted to offer an alternative, scalable and unique model of people development, designed with these 7 pieces of tangram.
A model that engages the mind, body and emotions and promotes empowerment and durable change.
